Adam Sandler phoned in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest from South Africa, where he’s shooting his next upcoming movie alongside Drew Barrymore, to talk about his current flick, Grown Ups 2.
Adam explains that the movie, believe it or not, marks his first sequel ever. “This is the first one where you take the title and place a two after it and I’m very excited we did it … I love hanging out with those buffoon comedics.”
And by buffoon comedics, he means co-stars and good friends David Spade, Chris Rock, Kevin James, and more. Adam laughs, “There really [are] a hundred different people [in the movie],” including Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner.
“I became friends with that sweet kid,” Adam tells us. However, he joke, “None of us liked when his shirt came off … we were like, ‘Put it on, our wives are coming.’”
“The girls go bananas for him and usually that leads to other guys getting angry or whatever, but when you hang out with the kid he’s the nicest, sweetest kid and he’s an unbelievable athlete. That kid can literally do everything. He’s like a crazy squirrel climbing up walls. He doesn’t play basketball. It’s probably like his 10th sport, but we play it at my house sometimes. He comes over, but he finds a way to annoy the hell out of everybody and make shots. He’s a pain.”
To catch Grown Ups 2, which Adam describes as having a “good summer feel to it,” hit the theaters on July 12.
